Obtaining ID:
- Difficult to obtain ID for homeless youth—exacerbated since 9/11
- Typically need picture ID to get birth certificate/passport
- DSHS reports willingness to assist youth in getting ID
- Need training for ASK-Y to determine actual policy of DOL vs. preferences of specific DOL staff/offices, also troubleshooting.

Advocacy Tool—Curtis/Princess:
- Visual Aid—Map that identifies 39 counties, 6 regions, 46 legislative districts, gives data relevant to each geographical location.

Engaging young people to vote—Valerie/Curtis/Princess:
- Raise involvement of eligible youth in voting
- Youth participation; many other organizations involved in that issue
- Action: Jason will explore ways for ASK-Y to participate in voter registration

Permanency—Jim Theofelis
- Review of a conference where the concept of permanency in terms of placement and relationship were discussed.
- Maybe nothing new to folks working with kids on the street, but the macro system is finally realizing that in order for placements for adolescents to work, they have to drive the process.
